Get some 3M Super Duty Rubbing Compound. Only can get it at autobody paint supply stores.

Not sure I would use super duty rubbing compound if they are just light scratchs. Have to know what you are doing when using the heavier compounds or you can ruin a paint job real quick. If the scratchs are thru the paint, as you can see a different color of paint in the scratch, there is not a whole lot you can do. Touch up paint may help a little but you will still see it. If the scratch is still the same color as the paint then try a rubbing compound like Turtle Wax sells and they should disappear. If you have lots of scratchs take it to a Paint and Body shop and have them give it a buff job. May cost a couple hundred dollars but they will do a good job making the whole truck look better.

No rubbing compound unless you want to refinish your rig. Get some "Clean and Wax" from Meguiars. Easy to apply and last a long time. About $9.00 for a 14 oz bottle.

I'm NOT suggesting you do this... but it DID work for me....
Mr. Clean "Magic Erasure" - little white sponge looking thing. I had a few minor scratches (not through the paint) on my 5er. I GENTLY, LIGHTLY rubbed the scratched area, maybe 1/2cm on either side as well, GENTLY, LIGHTLY and then followed up with several applications of paste wax rubbed in well.
As I said.. it worked for me but am NOT recommending you try it but if you do - you could easily rub too hard with disastrous results. Well... how disastrous could it really be - we've only talking about a tiny area on a piece of metal! after all.

I've been using TR3 Resin Glaze, Automobile Cleaner & Polish for over 30 years. Comes in a metal tin can with blue lettering. Wal-Mart or auto parts store has it.
Gets light scratches and road tar off, etc.

I'm a big fan of Mirror Glaze Swirl Remover, I use it with a 7" electric polisher and keep it wet with a spray bottle.

Takes the clear coat off and makes it look worse.

You must be joking. Don't know what you are talking about. What do you think is used to rub out cars, boats, ect.? If you want to get scratches out you use a good compound (3M). If you have deep scratches you block sand with 600 wet and then use compound. PERIOD! I have painted 100's of cars.
