I did this to mine installing the hinged drop down and the fold up leg. I like it much better really was pretty simple.
Just make sure you buy the right hinge pieces.

that is the kind I don't want (thanks for posting that cause I tried to do photo but don't know how)
the unit comes wtih that setup --I was hoping for the other kind.
Hereis what you want converts the table a free standing by only replacing the bottom of the leg.

No, they have another kind like I had in my last TT, but I don't think it's what the OP wants...but just responding to this because the kind you mention in your post is what I have now and i HATE it. My Mallard had one telescoping leg that extended out to support it, and the table itself was hooked to the wall of the TT. It was incredibly easy to make into a bed and stable, you just lifted that one leg and it telescoped a tad inward than you slid it under the table and it locked in place. The type you refer to with the two aluminum poles that you remove from the table and lower it for making a bed is flimsy. Just this weekend I was looking at mine wondering how on earth I can convert this to a different style. I don't know why it is so wobbly - the poles do not secure down into the holes very well and the hole thing moves around.
I just dislike all camper dinettes in general. This one though is the worst.

I should have read this post before responding to the last. That is exactly what I referred to in my last post! Even if this does not help out the OP, it does me as this is how I want to convert my table. Just this very issue came up this weekend as mine is getting wobblier and wobblier.
I swear there is nothing that cannot be learned on this forum. Everything I ever need done I have gotten the 'how to' right here and just DIY. My only question now is will this work on my table or does it need to be a certain size.
Thanks!

That link just goes to a page script error. Can you try to repost when you have a chance?

I gave him a clicky to an ad for those and even PMed him with the same link, his reply was that he wanted it to be moveable, I don't think he is really reading the posts.

I am sorry. I thought those legs bolted to the floor. I looked and realized it was just a base for the table and does make it movable. that is what I wanted. thanks!!
