I just saw something like this being sold at an Albertson's Supermarket. It comes in a vacuum sealed wrap and was near the charcoal briquets.

It's only about 8 inches tall though so it would only cook for a short time.

I will have to try that...what a conversation piece. Thanks for sharing.

Looks interesting. With my luck one side would burn down more than the other and drop the pan off the side.

What the pictures don't tell you is that you have to stuff steel wool down the middle and light it. The log will then burn from the inside out. I just learned that this morning from an article in the minneapolis star tribune.

Cool. I've seen similar (the cut log) but referred to as a Swedish candle.
