Well pulled in to the old homestead early this AM with my new Nexus RV. I got the Phantom 31P. I'm pleased as punch with the RV. The finished product exceeds all my expectations.
It was a bumpy road at times, but the Nexus people were true to their word. I found several things that weren't just the way I wanted them. I got mad and yelled. But they put that aside and just fixed everything. Once they figured out how anal I was, we all got on the same page.
The first day I was at the factory I went through everything and made a list. That night I stayed in the RV on there property (they have several sites for owners) and added to the list. They went through each and every item and made it right.
I mainly dealt with Dave Middleton, one of the 2 main owners, but his partner Claude Donati, was close by as well. The entire staff goes out of their way to make their buyers happy, but I think they're happy I'm out the door for now.
I'll talk about my scheduled "shakedown" cruise under Beginning RVing...

So far Nexus has done everything they said they'd do. They working my my unit until I was happy, then they told me to come back in a month and they'd fix anything else I was unhappy with.
What I liked most is they didn't try to put me off to one of their service shops. They really wanted to fix everything themselves.
I set the RV up in a local campground today. Setup was a breeze, even for this first-timer. Back it in, hook up the electric, water and cable. Go inside, press the Automatic button on the Big Foot levelers, press the button for the slide room, press another button for the awning. Voila!
I had to go to Wally World to find an adapter for the sewer, but that was a snap as well.
hey grumpgator, aspenman,
Congrats on the new rv,s. You'll have to keep us posted on how they are doing over time. They look like really nice units.
