If anyone out there is looking for some great parks to host at for 2-6 months per site, we have openings in the many of our Georgia State Parks. Immediate, summer and fall openings are currently available. Georgia has wonderful diverse parks from canyons, to lakes, to mountains, to beaches...we have a little of everything in Georgia!

Visit: http://gastateparks.org/volunteer/hosts click on "go"
to see where there are openings and click on the green lines to request that assignment.

If you have any questions my direct contact information is on the bottom of the webpage at http://gastateparks.org/volunteer/hosts

Thank you!

I'll go check this out right now. You have very nice parks down there.

We're going back for our second time this year. Georgia has one of the most organized system for the Hosts we have seen. Super places to volunteer!

DW and I are thinking about trying it next year. We have camped almost all of the Georgia State Parks and think they are great.

You can tell it's organized well. The link was very helpful with it's color coded chart of openings available at the different parks.

Wow, golf course hosts?......now that sounds up my alley.

Are the golf courses located at state park sites?....and the state park has both a campground and a golf course onsite?

Or are the golf courses not located at a state park and are just state park owned and have a campground adjacent to the golf course?

The Golf Courses are located on State Parks. The host sites for golf hosts are usually located in a secluded section next to the golf course away from the Park campgrounds. Golf hosts help with speed of play, cart wrangling, raking sand pits, replacing divots and, of course, will have access to play as appropriate (meaning during the non-busy times of the day where revenue is the priority).

GeorgiaStateParks: Thank you for the information.

Do the campsites offered to the hosts have full hookups?
