Congrats on the new truck!!!!

I did something similar to my f150 .

I haven't towed with my F350 but I am super excited for the first time.

Hopefully it is like others say. Night and day difference.

Thanks

I just went from a 1500 to the 2500HD 6.0, looking foward to towing with it.

I found a way to increase my Tundra's payload from 1,500 pounds to just over 3,000 today. Stopped by the car lot and ran across a 2010 GMC 2500 HD Z71 4x4 package with 20k on it. A couple less ameneties than the Tundra, but a very comfortable truck and a good price.

Now I just need some time off to actually get the trailer out of storage and go camping. No more weight police issues. I had been looking at Fords and Dodges, so this was a happy suprise.

Excellent choice!

Now....'tin hats on'....check ya 'six' for Ram and Ford fans....'incoming'!!!!

I'm neither a Ram, Ford or Dodge fan...I go with the best deal, owned Chevy trucks for A LOT of years before my Dodge...

OP made an excellent choice, hope he let's us know how well his towing experience has improved....

Congrats. If it isn't a diesel, the diesel Nazis will be rolling in as well

Wow, what's a diesel Nazi? I know Nazi's in WWII were murderers and no one who knows history would want to be tagged with that name, at least no one I know....

Don't know why the OP would have needed a diesel for what they are towing...appears they made an excellent choice in the truck that they went with....diesel would have been an overkill and cost more....

common sense dictates what size truck and possibly what engine is the best choice, normally determined by what one is towing.......In the OPs case, his selection was a very, very good one.

NChauler, I was just busting chops. I recently upgraded to a GM 1 ton gasser and catch a little flack on this forum from time to time for my engine choice . I love my truck and the 6.0 gasser does a great job with my fiver

I believe it was,

I lived in Germany for many years and I can assure you that diesel has nothing to do with Nazi's.

Those people will wear that Scarlett letter for many years. When I spoke with the older folks there who lived through it they were very ashamed.

Thanks!

Yeah, diesel engine invented in Germany. When I was there I visited some of the concentration camps, very, very somber to say the least
