With the microwave convection oven I can bake things when I need to and I like having the large storage drawers under the stovetop. An oven is better for dry camping, obviously, since you don't need to run the generator but, by myself, I don't do a lot of baking when camping any more.

My wife loves to bake, and is very good at it. We would never consider a MH without an oven.

Glad to see all the posts of using your oven. I would miss my oven, but see so many w/o them installed. Glad there are other homemakers out there needing a real oven!

eend,

We use our oven so much, I just added an electronic igniter to it. Now, no more sticking my head in it while holding a lit lighter and trying to see where to stick it....and hoping nothing goes boom.

I am surprised at all the new rigs that don't have a propane oven. And I think the manufactures are really shooting themselves in the foot with this one.

The microwave gets used occasionally, but otherwise it makes a nice place to store fruit.

Now, who said they were serving up cinnamon rolls on the Oregon coast

Happy cooking..and eating,
Steve

Not in 6 years of fulltiming...we use the Micro/convec for everything from breads to desserts to roasts...we use the oven to store baking pans, bread pans, pizza stone, etc.
Thinking of removing the oven and replacing with storage cabinet.

I use it every time we take out the TT. Lasagna, chicken, pizza, hash browns...

I found a TT I loved the floor plan in, and my son pointed out it did not have an oven. We passed on that, and I am glad I do have an oven.

We use ours on a regular basis when dry camping. When in a camp with hook ups we use a toaster oven to save propane.

I can only eat so much BBQ'd and fried food. Nothing like a good old-fashioned roast beef and yorkshire pudding dinner!!!

Don't forget the gravy...around our house it is considered a beverage..

I'm so surprised that most of you use the oven, I'd rater have a cuboard in its place.
Even the microwave, we use it as a breadbox, only when we have electrical hookup we might use it for popcorn, just because we can.
