Oh boy here we go again - I just saw this thread and have not read the previous 4 pages of responses. We would not go without an oven in an RV. For us, being self contained is all about RVing and with an oven, you can make the best meals for any time of day without having to fire up a generator. Yes, we use our microwave when we have electricity but we use the oven way more. Not to mention that when we camp up in the Sawtooths and I fire up the oven to bake biscuits or cinnamon rolls for breakfast, after I pull them out and turn off the oven, I open the door and let the excess heat out taking advantage of it to warm up the rig. My microwave is mainly used to store all my baked goods!

We used ours once to make sure it worked. The previous TT did not have one and didn't miss it. I will leave it in because of all the "I wouldn't buy one without an oven" comments. Future customers

We fulltimed for many years and I baked everything from turkey to cheesecake. Now, with the TC, I still bake, tho not as often.
I would just as soon loose the outside shower than the oven!

Eastwacamper wrote: Yes on all those responses. Muffins, various desserts like coffee cake. But I do know lots of folks who never do use the oven.
We have friends who never use theirs...except to store pots and pans in.
They don't want to remove it because of resale value AND they often eat our cinnamon rolls...

One of the reasons we didn't go to the wholesaler was that their TT's were stripped down and didn't have a oven.
In the three weeks we have used the TT since we bought it we have made cookies, pizza and biscuits but by far the favorite things to cook in it are dry rub baby back ribs and slow roasted pork.
The microwave on the other hand is great for storage.

I guess everyone has different needs,I love the outside shower, I use it to cleand the griddle, big frying pans (stuff that don't fit in the rv sink) and wash the dog.
Didn't know a turkey would fit in the tiny oven.
