Read this morning that the Texas Parks and Wildlife is relinquishing control of Lake Texana State Park. They are turning control over to the Brackenridge Recreation Area(a part of the Lavaca Navidad River Authority).
LNRA runs a really nice park across the highway from the State Park. It should still be a great place to go. Just needs sewer hook ups. It is already 30/50 amp service. I am looking forward to the new direction of the park.
We camped there a number of years ago. Very nice park. Deer were everywhere. The park personel told us that they had hired a service to trap and relocate about 100 of the critters. They were so tame we saw a young boy petting one.
