I'm looking at purchasing my first TT within the next few months. From researching around, and based on my weight requirement of 3500 lbs, I've settled on the Jay Flight Swift SLX's. I went to go check them out today and the build quality seems great compared to other manufactures. I'm looking to get one of the floor plans with the bunks in the back as it will be useful for storage. Unfortunately the bed does suck in them, but it seems to be a common theme in TTs.
My question is, for anyone who owns one or has used/seen one in the past, how durable are they in the real world? Anything I should be aware of with these models?
We've had 2012 SLX 184 BH since September.. Our 4th Jayco and we've been totally satisfied. It's just the two of us and more than meets our practical and comfort needs/wants. We downed sized in 2011 from a Jayco 5vr to a 2011 Jayco 1206. Was nice, but didn't meet our comfort needs. SLX 184 BH has and does it very well.
The Swift SLX is made by Jayco, the 3rd largest RV Builder in the World, family owned and one of the oldest at 44 years.
It comes well equipped with standard awning, bathroom skylite, extra large dinette window, real hardwood cabinets made in Jayco's own wood mill, Goodyear Radial tires, seamless marine grade plywood flooring (solid to walk on unlike other brands "foam filled" floors), cable and satelite hookups, tinted safety glass, microwave, fully decked plywood walk-on roof, awning, wall mounted A/C, refrigerator etc. And even tho it's built to be light weight, it still has a real steel square tube frame, not aluminum or stamped steel like other brands, and R-7 fiberglass insulation walls, floor and roof. It even has steel wheel fender linings (instead of plastic) so in case of a blowout there is less damage.
And Jay Flight has been the #1 selling travel tailer line for 8 years now!
It also has a rare 2 year warranty, and 1 year roadside assist, with lockout service and free trip planning. And as you noticed, Jayco's great quality and customer service.
We've had 7 Jayco's...and not a single lemon!
Good luck!

Someone had one listed for sale on here yesterday! I don't have any idea who it was, where they were located or anything. I had never really seen that model, but I looked at some pics. Interesting with the bunks, dinette and couch. It is a basic "sleeping" camper.
I assume that the post is gone by now since he was trying to sell it. Maybe he will contact you through a PM.

You've done a really good job of describing the Jayco Swift line. I agree w/you assessment of the Jayco quality.
Given all that, the OP was asking about the Jayco Swift SLX line.
SLX 145 BH, 154 BH, 184 BH, and new addition this yr is the 185 BH.
These are all smaller than the Swift models.
These are pretty basic but we love our 2012 Swift SLX 184BH. It's a great little trailer, 20 feet, and it is built w/Jayco quality.
This is our 4th Jayco, all bought new. Your write up though is spot on! No lemons!
My inlaws bought a small swift(not sure what model)last year and they LOVE it. They tow it with their Chrysler minivan with no problem. It is a neat little unit. I am very impressed with the build quality
