I thought all of them draw 1.9A at the lowest speed to 3A at the highest, except for their free standing model that draws 1.2 A at the lowest. These guys probably don't know what they are talking about - 0.2 A to 1.9 A, really?...

Almot,

Your post made me curious, so I went out and measured mine:
1.1 Amps @ Low
1.3 Amps @ Med
1.7 Amps @ High

14 speeds, really.. 3 is good for me. 0.2 amps won't move much air.

I sure like my Endless Breeze freestanding model. Is there anything else out there in the running, air for watts?

Another set with a ten year-old three-speed

1.2a, 1.7a, 2.5a

Does location (wire length etc) matter? What about the Max air cover? We have one of those longer shaped covers that are for fan vents. Does the cover, even when open, make it work harder so needs more amps?

If I turn the fan on and then turn on one light the fan slows down. Mobile tech says that's normal? So when you are testing do you have lights on or off?

you might just be surprised....for dry camping (and wanting to keep energy usage down) the very low settings work very well...
