I think most of us do not understand the cost of doing business until we get into business.

I agree! The company has to pay for shipping, and that might be only $3.65 to the UPS guy, but also $1.25 for a box, some tape, packing material, and a guy who is packing say 8 - 12 boxes an hour at most (including time to retrieve the items from the shelf, and put it in the box, print the shipping lable, ect).

So yes it is a very high rate to ship such a small item, but if buyng more items, then shipping per item is less. Or you can spend 1/2 gallon of gas, go to the local auto parts store and see if they have it in stock.

As for the 24 volt light bulbs, check www.grainger.com They usually have everything, if you can only find it in the catalog.

We live very rural and buy a lot of things on the internet. However, you have to be practical. If I need an 89 cent part I will buy it local. If I need expensive items I shop around and usually end up at Amazon. It does cost to be in business. If a local dealer has his product priced reasonable I would buy it local even if I could save a couple of dollars on the internet. I just don't like to be gouged. Plus, some things you just can't find locally.

On the site below is some reference to bulbs

Has happened to me a number of times. I either but locally or buy additional items I know I need to get into the free shipping bracket.

Hopefully you won't have to do that for too many $0.89 orders. Some of us understand how much you will lose on an order like that. Frankly I am pleasantly surprised that you don't have a minimum order for that offer.

X2.

I've been purchasing a lot more from Camping World now that I get free shipping. It used to be that after the cost of shipping was added, Amazon was usually cheaper. With free shipping now, many items are closer to other retailers(online and B&M).
