I'm going to Seattle in a week. I've never been there before. Does anyone have any recommendations on restaurants or attractions.
It's a business trip for my DW. She will be busy during business hours while I'm free to do anything during the day. We will have a few hours each evening together to go out.

Ivar's on Pier 54 or thereabouts. I haven't been there in years, but if it is still there it is pretty good seafood.
New Luck Toy Chinese restaurant in West Seattle. Again, it has been along time, but if it is still there, GOOD food.
Take the ferry over to Bainbridge Island. There are several good places on the main drag in town, within walking distance from the ferry.

The "Ducks" or, excursion boat on Lakes Union and Washington or, excursion boat on Puget Sound or, the Microsoft campus or, the Space Needle or, a day trip to Bremerton by way of the Seattle-Bremerton ferry or, a trip to Everett to see the Boeing operation or, the Cascades by way of U. S. 2, etc.
Appreciate the good info here, as Seattle is on my bucket list as well.
For the OP, they do have MLB team in Seattle, the Mariners. Wife would love to see Underground Seattle, as it is supposedly haunted. I would go see the US Navy base at Bremerton, by use of one of the ferry boats.
Also, guess the original, first, Starbucks coffee shop is still in business in Seattle. I understand it is not far from that Pikes Place Market mentioned in another post.

Dinner at the Metropolitan Grill. A ferry boat ride to Bremerton. A trip to Saloumy (sp?). It is a sausage and italian meat shop owned and run by Mario Bartelli's father and family. When at the Pike place market hit the Italian market at the entrance. Also down and across the street is Starbuck's #1 where it all started.

So I like Tent Camping.
Call the restaurant at the top of the Space Needle. The ride to the top is free if you eat there and it takes about an hour to make the 360 degree circle. Bring lots on money as soup at lunch is $9.00 and the main course $23-35.00 but the view cannot be beat. Also check out the public transportation available on line including the light rail which runs to the Space Needle and all the way South to the airport.
The Seattle underground tour is good, although it's not haunted. That's the Portland underground :-) If you take I-84 through Utah and Oregon, take the Pendleton underground tour. It goes through the tunnels the Chinese were forced to sleep in, tunnels carrying valuables from the riverboats to the banks, and a brothel.
The Boeing plant in Everett has tours through part of the world's largest building by volume where they assemble 787s. The first stop in the building is a utility tunnel that is a straight shot across the 1/2 mile wide building.
There is a nice Museum of Glass in Tacoma and the Experience Music Project is good for anyone who likes rock and roll music.
