I do a internet radio show 3 hours a day and are going to do the show on the road. Florida to North Dakota east to PA then back to Florida. Who has the best and most reliable rentals? Any suggestions?

Hi,

How will you stream the programing?

How many days on the road? How many folks are traveling? Have you run an RV before?

Some rentals only include 100 miles per day. The planned trip is at least 4000 miles so it might be 40 days? @ $140.00 per day that is $5600.00

It may be cheaper to buy a used unit and then sell it after the trip.

The title of your post is, 'RV renting for 30 this summer', does it mean 30 days? Or 30 people, which isn't going to work in an RV
I would start contacting all the RV dealers in the area, maybe they have rentals or would be willing to do a short term lease?

Most rental companies will bust you on the mileage driven as well as the per day fees. I agree with the 'tuna, it would be cheaper to buy one and then resell.

Here is a link to the Cruise America FAQ site, link.

They are probably the biggest outfit in the US. You can try ElMonte RV Rentals too.

I do believe Camping World has an RV rental department. Since they have a presence throughout the USA it might assure you of support as you travel.
Haven't used them, but then I haven't rented either.

A friend of ours who rented for a 3 - 4 week trip said he regretted not buying one and selling after.

The mileage and generator charges greatly exceeded his expectations.

When the DW and I were thinking about getting an RV we rented from Cruise America. We had a good impression of the company and the rental was in good shape, a Class C. At the time they didn't offer anything with slide outs, so you might want to look at that as one of your must haves. Spending that much time, with gear and people, you will probably want the space.

I rented a Class C from Cruise America for 2 weekws in Sep 2009....1800 for the two weeks with a not real generous mileage allowance but we didn't need that. They also do charge you if you use the generator. I agree with the others....the mileage charges will kill you.
