My odor came from the gray tank. Again, the Cyclone vent on the gray cured my problem.

same problem here. all sinks and toilet stay plugged and have water over the plugs. smell is from the bathroom. the smell will fill the rv if we drive with the front vent open, so we keep it closed. if there is a p-trap under the sink (there is) will there also be a vacuum break? no leaks in the drain system.

I like this because there are no moving parts to wear out. 360 DEGREE VENT
Although a plain PVC tee will help, it won't work as well as the commercial units that have a venturi molded in.

If there is a P-trap there HAS to be either a vent through the roof (not the one for the tank) or a vacuum break otherwise the P-trap would not function properly. Houses always have a vent on each trap (may be joined into one through roof pipe) our coaches always seem to use what the hardware guys call "cheater vents" these do go bad and allow smell into the living area. If you're having troubles keeping water in the traps or smell in the living area it's a real good bet the cheater vents are bad.
Like I said above I replaced mine and can now drive with rooftop vents open, front windows open, pretty much however I want to drive.

So, what's the name or description for this vacuum break vent? I can't locate it with any random descriptions I can think of . . .

Google "cheater vent" or walk into any Home Depot/Lowes plumbing dept and ask for it. Also goes by the name "check vent"

Wow, so many replies...not sure I understand them but thanks. My MH is so compact that getting to anything is very hard. I also don't know if I can do a repair myself.
I don't drive with the windows open; just opened the bathroom window in case it would help. Today I filled the sink and toilet with water. Couldn't do the shower as there's too much 'stuff' in there! I also put a bag of ice in the toilet to 'agitate' and clean the tank. Absolutely no odors today. Then, for experiments sake I emptied the water from both and still no odor. Had the bath window open but no vents.
So does this make any sense or point to a specific problem?
Thanks for your comments.

If you aren't using the shower, you need to make sure you are keeping the p-trap in the drain full. Just use a small bottle and pour water into the drain or use the pink antifreeze if you don't use the shower(won't evaporate as quick)

I use the shower but intermittently and haven't used it for a couple of months. I'll have to get pink antifreeze but for now I will pour water into the drain. How often do I need to do this? Thanks for the information.
I did the same thing yesterday--filling the sink and toilet with water but today it smells????
