I skip over websites that don't have rates also, won't waste my time making yet another phone call to see what their rates are. Their loss not mine. I also NEVER stay at CG that provides reserve america's phone number instead of their direct phone number.
I mainly use Woodalls on line where the rates are posted.
Yes I know rates can change and some CG websites are not kept up to date but you get to know the current rate when you call to see if they have a site available.

In this 24/7 day and age, maintaining a thorough website is about as basic as having a telephone for any business IMHO. Also answering emails promptly as basic as answering a phone.

That's another thing that will result in me doing business elsewhere. Why bother listing an e-mail address when nobody responds?
In our experience, the E-mail system is by far the least profitable communication forum there is. The conversion rate from E-mail inquiry to reservation is probably less than 1%. We used to take a lot of time to answer e-mails, now we reply with a form letter e-mail "Thank you for your interest in our park, our website www.xxxw.xxx is the best source for our rates and policies. If you have a specific question please feel free to contact us at 999-999-9999." Like most others have posted, I find it very rare that a park's rates are not listed on their website. When they are not, I have found it is either a park with special circumstances, or some guy with a field and a few hookups. I know when the park has something special, so I call, as for the other, I don't like to stay in fields anyway. Also, be aware that only the park's website should be counted on for providing accurate site pricing. RVparkreviews, third party websites and other sources other than those under the direct imput and control of the park (that includes Good Sam, Trailer Life, Woodalls, etc) can be wildly wrong, both high and low.
I email all the time to ask about availability and have never received a form letter, just usually a quick confirmation of space and whether a deposit needed. We are touring RVers and have been going to high demand destinations at peak season. So we reserve a couple of months out.
Emails are the greatest thing since sliced bread for some, like older travelers with hearing issues. They provide a written record of rates and dates agreed on. You can also email at your convenience (for RVer and park owner)...so can conduct business at 6 a.m. Or midnight, when phone calls aren't an option.
Good to see how many of us pass on websites without rates, maybe they will take notice how much business they are losing!
I think the WORST ones are the CG's that participate in the 50%
off clubs like PA.
IMHO they ONLY participate to generate traffic to their site. Just try and get a site with the posted rate at 50% off, won't happen.
You go to the participating CG's website and they do have the rates posted but when you call to make reservations using the PA they tell you the rates are not correct and are way higher and of course it goes without saying the ONLY days you can stay there and get 50% off are days that fall on the third Thursday of the fourth month of every other year etc, etc.
