I have been doing some research for an upcoming trip and find it funny that many rv parks don't have rates listed on the webpage. You have to send them a mail.

I decided to pass those up. I mean why would you have someone go to all the trouble only to find out it is not in their price range? A waste of time for the office employees too. Is it some big secret?

I suspect that part of it may be that they hire out to some outfit for the website, and the outfit is unresponsive: It's easier not to bother with a rates page than to try to get rates updated on an existing page.

These are the actual websites for the parks. They show amenities, activities, etc. but no rates.

When I go to a CG/RV Park website I expect find: amenities, rates, directions and if they are a seasonal place. The one thing that is a deal breaker is NOT listing their rates.

No rates....just like a menu without pricing, I'm down the road.

I very seldom find an rv website that does not publish rates. when I do, I move on.

Frankly, I can't recall seeing one that had zero rate info. At minimal, they post the daily rate then I have to inquire about a weekly one. I think it is a mandatory field in Rvparksreview.com, as well, although I know not every CG has been rated.

I actually find very few that don't list the rates. That's the main reason I check on-line so take a pass on any that don't list the rates. I'm not going to take the time to contact them. Rates listed on RV Reviews are worthless. Too many variables to know if they apply to me.

Rates quoted on RV Park Reviews vary according to length of stay, size/type of site, season, and sometimes number of people, WIFI access, Cable TV, pool access, full or partial hookups, special events in the area, etc. Too many variables to list every possibility.
I doubt that many RV park owners have the computer knowledge to build their own web sites, let alone change them for every variable. I'd bet that any prices quoted on RV sites in Louisville this weekend were wrong. Same with hotels/motels, restaurants, parking lots, etc. Shoot, I paid $20 for a spot to park my car on the street for the Ky. Derby one time just to keep the kid that was "renting" it from stealing my car.
Even if a CG lists their rate on the web site, it may not be any more valid than their description of their park. I've never seen one advertised as a dump, but I've been in some. I've never seen a restaurant advertise their steaks as "tougher than shoe leather", but I've had a few. You pays your money and takes your chances.

Retired and visiting as much of this beautiful country as I can.
