We have a Splendide W/D.
The thing shakes the whole coach when it spins.
Is this normal? I don't remember it doing it when it was first installed.
Second if it is what did you do to minimize it? I had thought of splitting swim noodles and putting them between the unit and walls but not enough space.

I can not comment on yours being normal but ours will vibrate the trailer for about 15 seconds going to high speed spin and then another 15 seconds when it comes off of high speed spin.
It doesn't vibrate real bad but if the awning is out you can definitely see it shake.

Two suggestions:

1. It could be the motor control board. When it starts the spin cycle, it should first spin a little at low speed and slow down, then spin a little faster and slow down again, repeat a few times. This is the motor control board assessing how much the load in the drum is in/out of balance. Then it should go into full spin, with the max speed moderated by the results of the first spin tests. This is supposed to keep the drum from really vibrating with an out of balance load.

2. If you can use something like high density foam blocks to wedge between the sides of the washer/dryer and the cabinet walls enclosing it, this can absorb most of the vibration.

I use the Low Spin option on all loads. It doesn't vibrate as much, although that is not the main reason I do it. It seems to wrinkle less with less spin rpm. It may be just me, but I think it helps.

Less wrinkles on on the low spin seem the normal. Depending on how the machine is built in can cause a lot of the shaking just like in a stick house. A machine sitting on good solid floor not touching any walls, will shake a lot less. Ours will shake the rig when it first goes into spin with a heavy load. Unless you want to rebuild the floor under the machine there is not much you can do.

Shake, Rattle and Roll.... Splendide Ariston stack W/D... Kind of enjoyable when stretched out on the recliner chairs... a free massage with every load.

If you can access the back of the machine you can remove the back of the machine and check the mounts and the "shock" absorber. Load size and balance seem to be the keys with our vibrations.

Our Splendite 2100 has a lot of vibration. I wouldn't recommend a Splendite to anyone.

Most often it is because of an uneven number of items, too many items, etc. Think balance as you are loading - two big towels and two hand towels, two pairs of jeans and two t-shirts, etc. Also, make sure the feet are down and solidly sitting on the floor. We get a little shimmy going to high spin, that's all.
