Yes it could void your warranty which is kind of ironic as it will help your engine to last much longer. The benifits of tuning are not nearly as great on the 6.7 and Ford is even stickier about warranty on it so mine remains stock.

I would be almost certain the deletes would cause any diesel truck to fail an emissions test, and almost certainly cause the powertrain warranty to be voided if the dealer finds out.

Congrats!!! Always nice to see another person not afraid to buy the big Ford. These are great trucks! If you don't delete you need regular oil changes and oil analysis to ensure your not "making oil" from the regen's. Deletes will also increase fuel mileage. Enjoy!!!!

Thanks. Do the deletes have any effect on the emissions? I wouldn't want to do a delete and not pass emissions inspection.

How often are your inspections?
I sure wouldn't delete while it's under warranty.

Anyway congrats on the fine looking truck.

Every time ford reflashed mine fuel mileage kept going down, the truck never ran as good as it did when it was new. after deleteing the truck runs better than when it was new and I got all my fuel milage back and then some. I wouldn't do any alterations while under warranty. I have the 6.4 PSD in my F250 and love it! The inspections are yearly and I don't see any way around the emissions inspection. Years ago knew a mechanic that would pull up a vehicle to the computer do the emissions inspection and stick on the sticker. Now the state has computerized everything. I guess I'll have to just keep it stock unless anyone here is from New York and has successfully modified their truck? Didn't buy it for fuel mileage anyway, just want to tow safe!

Actually no fuel gets into my crankcase according to Blackstone but I know the early DPF engines certainly had the making oil problem, all brands. If it were mine, again any brand, the oil change interval would be 5k max with a oil sample taken each time. Yes a PITA no doubt.

That's the way you want to buy a truck like that anyways, used with low miles and warranty still left. Let someone else drive it off the lot and take the hit on a brand new one....Nice lookin truck.
