So here I sit in my TC just me and the horses and no one else around. Quite the long day, rolled out at 4am, got here at 7am had just enough time to level the truck and pop up the first aid station and grab a quick breakfast and get into my uniform before the first ride at 8 am
Figures I would need to stop by my office on the way in to drop off the Ambulance key that I forgot to take out of my pocket at the end of Fridays Shift.

The facility is in a quite beautiful valley
If you tow horse trailers this is why you need to be a US Rider roadside insurance member. The weld failed on the trailer axel as they pulled in to compete. One call to US Rider got a mobile truck repair van dispatched. The crew not only realighed and rewelded the broken axel into place they added strengthen weld to the axel tha did not fail. total repair time was 2 hours
the only other TC that was here today

Eric, I always love your photos of the great Breakfast's and Dinner that you make in your camper. It's making me hungry and hungry to hit the road as soon as possible. Thanks for posting.

From the looks of that fender I'd guess the wheel/axle paid a visit to something a little unforgiving rather than the weld just failing.
But then again the frame/axle looks like a bucket of rust.

Sunday, force of habit I guess but I was up by 0630. Overall it was medically an easy show. I taped up one sprained ankle and that was it.
I shared my Med Station popup with 4 corgi puppies.
we even had some cowboy dressage
more fun truck and trailer issues. First I watched a guy get his truck stuck in a ditch and get rescued by Hetti in her F350
found the reason for his distraction. His trailer tongue broke at the weld, I surmise that they had for many years had too much tension on the weight distribution hitch.
just got it off the roadway and just out of the way insde the property gate.
the road home
time for my favoite chores..not.. stinky slinky and off loading the camper so a friend can borrow the truck.
