Okay we just got up and decided we will camp here again next weekend. I walked down to the camp store and asked if they had any sites available. She stated the site I was on was available and I could just leave the camper for the week.. So my question
It rained last night and I'm not sure if it will dry before 12.. So would you leave it all set up for a week if you aren't going to be able to get out and check on it ? When I say set up I mean leave bunk ends out and electric hooked up. I would fold the awning up and shut the water off..

No. I would turtle it. Left open unattended might invite problems with vandals, critters, weather, etc. And, unless you need the time to travel, why not stay later today since it is yours again anyway.?

I dont own a Hybrid but I sure do like the idea of just folding the bed ends up anytime you need to and they dont take up any room at all on the inside.. Not quite that easy on a POPUP like mine... If the ends are wet when you put them up you really should come back the next day and open them up and let them dry out. I have a full 9X12 tarp (Poor man Gizmos) over my bed ends all the time so they hardly ever get wet when it rains. Like the other post said heck - spend the night haha...

I would have no way of knowing anything about the reputation of where it's located but that would by my main concern. CERTAINLY there is nothing wrong with leaving everything open for that length of time (many folks camp for weeks at a time with no issues). If you have any concerns about it then take it home with you. It surely can't be that difficult since you got it there in the first place

If it was done raining, I would dry the ends with towels and close it up. I've dried my bunk ends with towels and then closed it up all winter - no problems.

i see no advantage to leaving the bunk ends open. takes about 15 minutes extra to close them both and then not have to worry about anything happening.
if they are still real wet, then it's your decision. how close to the campground are you?

The sun came out and dried up the tent ends just in time to fold them up.. Locked everything up and left it sit on the site for the week. After leaving the campground about 15 mins down the road the sky opened up and it's still raining.
I know I could have pulled it back.. Pulled it out.
I was trying to conserve gas at 11 mph and a 40 drive 1 way saves enough money for me to want to leave it.

We've never left our ROO anywhere, but our DF has with his Shamrock. He left enough stuff around that it gave the impression that there was someone around. Obviously, the stuff he left outside was not so pricey that if it walked off it wasn't a huge loss. If you're thinking of this for future times, suggest you invest in a timer to put lights on and off inside and maybe also a radio - turned up a smidge.

My neighbors have a seasonal lot there and it's right near camp headquarters so they are going to keep a eye on it for me as well..
