Thanks everyone for the quick comments and advice. I really didn't expect a total loss so I havent researched it much. After this I've done my research.

Our homes roof is ruined, siding has holes in it, 3 cars damaged, shed roof and sides damaged, as well as our camper tore up. It is quite the headache having everything damaged. I have never had an insurance claim but know the adjusters are not working for our benefit. So I appreciate all your suggestions and have taken your advice seriously.

Don't sell the adjusters short just yet. I was preparing to sell mine before it got totaled and found that I got around $1500-2000 more from my insurance than I could sell it for. It couldn't have worked out better in my case. Now if I could just figure out how to make it hail when I need it...

We have been providing claims adjusting software to claims handling industry since 1998 and know as others have stated typically the owners are pleased with payout. The last thing the carrier wants is a public adjuster/lawyer involved so they tilt towards the policy holder vs. the carrier.

There are always exceptions but as others have stated assume the best outcome at this point.

The fact you had so much damaged at the same time should support your RV loss claim.

If you have a $5K RV and are demanding $10K then things will not go smooth.

Well not a lot of information as of today. The adjusters all showed up. Said the homes in my area had the worst damage. My 2008 F250 has to have the hood replaced. He wasn't sure what they will do with the cab. Possibly remove it and have it replaced. They will be getting with me in the next couple of day. My house the roof will be replaced, siding on the one end, plus may small items in our yard.

The camper he didn't lead me in any direction. The guy was finding areas damaged that the wife and I overlooked. He documented everything. He did say the roof was going to be expensive. He did say if it had aluminum siding the cost to replace that was $135 per sq foot. He didn't know what the roof would cost.

At the end, he said they would be contacting me mid to late week and providing me with options. So guess we can read what we want to in it. I'll update once I know more.

Again, thanks all for the advice and help.

MidmoCamper it sounds like you are gettting good service at this point in time. Again heavy losses in your area makes it easier for the adjusters to pay your claims because there is no question about the validity/cause of your losses.

Midmo - hopefully you have a local agent. When our farm got hit by an arsonist a few years back we had several thousand in damage from a shop/storage building, well pump and pump house being destroyed. Local adjuster was not going to cover a number of items. I called my agent mad and he assured me he was on my side and went above adjusters head and got a regional adjustment manager involved. They covered the disputed items in full - also it was our first claim same as yours and we had insurance on the farm, house, trailers and vehicles with this company close to 20 years. If you are unhappy don't hesitate to call YOUR agent and express your unhappiness. He is the one that wants to keep your business. It is a nightmare - you have my sympathies but hang in there and don't hesitate to fight for what you are due. You paid for insurance for this type of situation! Good luck and keep ready to fight if needed.

Edit to add - Gail see from your post you are in Murray, KY. I went to high school and one year of college there from 1969 - 1972. Were you there then? If so private email me and let's see how small the world is.

A friend of mine had his roof replaced on his 40 ft cyclone over the winter, from a hail storm last summer in Olathe KS. they replace rubber roof, decking, skylight and roof vents. He had A to Z Mobile RV do the work. It looks real good. It was expensive but he got the check from the insuance co. to cover it. I think his unit is a 06 or 07 model.

Our 2009 Jayco was damaged last April. The front, both sides, and both slides. Also stressed the vent covers but didn't break them. The dealer (nor did I) see any roof damage. Total estimate was something 100 and some hours and total bill was like $15,500. I figured they would total it, but they didn't. They would either make the check out to me and the dealer or me and the credit union that it was financed through. I chose the credit union and we paid it off and still enjoying it today. Didn't fix anything on it. Now, 1 year later when you look at the rubber roof you can see the marks where the hail hit it. I can also see marks and holes in the caulk. I will be covering all of the seems with Eternabond tape in the next 2 or 3 weeks. Bottom line if we were to do it again, I would push for some type of compensation for the roof and demand the caulking itself at least be replaced.

From what I have been told by a RV tech, about rubber roofs and hail is that most of the time you won't see the hole the hail made unless you really look hard at it. The hail will hit the rubber roof and make a small slit in the rubber, then bounce off, then the slit closes but it still there. Water will then seep into the slit and start causing water damage. Then when you first see the water damage, it's usually to late, the damage is done.

Sounds like a good time for Liquid Rubber if that is the case.

It took a while for the insurance company to decide what they are going to do. They did not total it out but wrote a check for $6500 damage. I go next week to a shop and get it appraised.
