I have a Scan gauge II. I have had it for several years now. works good.
Have had a couple of problems with it , but nothing major.
On our last trip in the RV it quit working. I unplugged it from the OBD plug under the dash but nada. Still doesn't work. I plugged my XM Radio Receiver into the Cigarette Lighter plug and it doesn't work, plug it into the auxiliary 12v plug and it works. does anyone know if the OBD plug is on the same fuse as the cigarette lighter plug? I haven't looked at the fuses yet. I had a service manual for my E-450 chassis but I can't find it. Of course after I fix the problem and I don't need the book I will find it

The OBDII data usually gets it power from the same fuse as the cigarette lighter receptacle. Change the fuse, you should be OK. ScangaugeII had a software update last year that makes it much better than the original. $25 to send it in for the update.
