So we spent the day at the TT today. We installed the new ultra fab 3000 tongue jack (thank you everyone for your advice on how to do this!) It works wonderfully. We did have to turn it sideways so that the truck tailgate will go down when hitched. I think this is ok.
The second mod we did was to install the oxygenics showerhead and a cut off switch for it. Can't wait to try this one out on the next trip.
While there we also greased the bearings and lubricated the slide seals (well actually we are trying the baby powder trick).
Now she just needs a bath and wax job. Our next trip isn't until memorial day weekend but man do I want to go out and use all the new mods!

Well, They do need testing and that requires recycling the systems several times. Do give them a little rest so as not to overheat anything.

We ran the jack up and down a few times today to make sure it worked right. No problems whatsoever. I do have one question though, someone said there is not stop point to prevent you from over cranking the jack. How do you know you are as high as you should go (ie trying to level on a very unlevel spot).

Mine came with an indicator mark on the tube.

Congrats on your jack.
I painted a warning line on the tube. I think that a "Flip-Jack" mod is coming soon.

I also spent the day doing maintenance and mods. I replaced the light between the exterior doors with a new scare light,Then we removed everything from the tongue and repainted it so now its ready to install the new Hensley. We then noticed that the tongue looked so good we repainted the whole frame, steps, and rear bumper. Also had a brake light out so I replaced the bulb.My son and I have been very busy today. Maybe I can get one of those electric jacks one day. Glad all went well for you today. wills250psd

sounds like you had a great day too. The electric tongue jack was made possible by Marc Lemonis. I was at a camping world grand opening where he gave away all kinds of wonderful items. I received a new zero gravity recliner, a pillow pet for my daughter and a $100 gift certificate that I put towards the tongue jack. So thank you Mr Lemonis for the ability to do this mod!
