We like to put up a sign with our name. We have used a hanger from a cheap flag but that did not work out well. Has anyone found or built a hanger or stand that is not expensive.

We have been hanging ours on the king pin box, but you can't see it with the truck parked in front of the fiver.

I'm thinking of rebar or a plant or bird feeder hanger, cut down to 3 feet or so, then weld on a couple of bars so it's a "Y" shape. Or one longer bar to make a "T" shape. Also needs a short bar near the bottom so you can use you foot to push it into the ground.

A rawhide lace from each end of the sign would attach to the ends of the "Y" arms, or to the ends of the "T", this would keep it from spinning in the wind.

Maybe simpler, put a 90 degree bend in the hanger at the right height, cut it wide enough to hang the sign under. Like an inverted "L". Decorate to your liking.

I hung a small cute sign on a tree once at the campsite because the nail was already there. I left it. and YUP I was ticked at myself

I want a name sign now but am worried it too will not come back with me.

I was thinking the msall garden flag holder would be ok also.

We hang our sign by string in the front window between the struts that hold up the cover.

This is what we have used. But our sign is somewhat heavy for the flag holder. Need something heavier.

Get a Plant Stake or 2.. And a pair of corner brackets (L-Brackets) You want the ones that are flat.

You may need two plant stakes depending on your sign.

Cut a piece of stake, A bit longer than the sign.

now, hear the top of either the other stake, or the rest of the stake (Depending) mount the L, just use the top hole and center it on the side so it stick out a few inches below the top.

This is where the sign-length piece hooks up

Pictures I can draw if I must. NOTE, if you do it right, the sign length piece will "Flip" over the top and lie beside the ground stake for storage.

I put two hooks in the top of our sign and it hangs from a Shepards Hook like you use in the garden.

Wish I had a picture of ours my DH made out of PVC pipe. Shaped like a cross. I had a sign made with our name on it and a light at the top-I imagine you could use a solar light now. Helps us identify our site when walking around the CG at night I believe a toilet flange is what he used on the bottom which is nice because you can then stake it in the ground. . He glued the top part and the bottom part seperately so it can come apart when we are ready to leave.

Made mine from PVC piping that was not glued for easy storage. Then I used a couple 4 foot rebar that I pound into the ground about a foot or two and slip the PVC over them for a stand. Makes for a nice sturdy sign post.
