OK, so I got scared with the weight issues when we moved out of our house to fill time in our Travel Trailer. so I went to the scale today and here are the numbers after loading what we wanted to take with us (the must haves),

At the Scale today with me in the truck and a full tank of fuel;

Steer Axle 3440 lb
Drive Axle 4860 lb
Trailer Axle 7340 lb
Gross Weight 15640 lb

so the numbers on my truck are;
GVWR 8800 lb
GAWR Front 5200
GAWR Rear 6000

GCWR according to ramtrucks.com is 17000 lbs

Trailer;
GVWR 9570

Curb weight on th trailer is 6810

Am I OK with these numbers to drive from Utah to Texas? I weighed the truck with what will be in it while we are driving.

Looks pretty good from where I sit - just need the truck's GCWR to make sure your below that, but I would expect that to be at least #17,000 or so with a 2500 RAM...

The truck will be fine. Your way under the front and rear axle ratings so the truck will have no issues carrying that small trailer.

Looking at Dodge Body Builders Guide clicky link shows the 2500 with a Hemi has a 15000 GCWR with a 3.73 axle or a 18000 GCWR with the 4.10 axle so that tells you the Hemi is a strong performer.

Enjoy the trailer.
