Hi everyone. Finally found a F350 2008 DRW. Pick it up tomorrow! I had added Firestone air bags to my F250, I loved how it leveled the load. Do I need to add airbags to the F350? I would really like some real world advice! My first trip out will be on Memorial Weekend, so I won't be able to see how it tows till then. Thanks in advance.

Probably not
My 2008, F350 DRW has them, but I run them very light (10 lbs). I would not have installed them, they came with the truck

When someone tells you to buy the same rig they own, listen, they might be right. When they tell you to buy a different rig then they own, really pay attention, they probably know something you don't.

You might get a more useful answer if you told us the pin weight of your trailer. My pin weight is 2600 pounds and I do not have them. The truck drops about 3 inches. I suspect they would help me but I have been getting along without them.

It will probably depend on the actual payload of your truck. When I pulled our new toyhauler the pin weight put the truck down on the overload springs which made for a very rough ride. I installed the Firestone air bags and added about 50 psi. That got the truck off the overloads by an inch or so. The quality of the ride was tremendously improved. This is on a 2001 Dodge dually.

You know let's will tell you no. I put them on my F450 and frankly have come in handy. I keep them with about 15 PSI, but just last week needed to lift my trailer so auto jacks would retract. Bad slope and auto retract would not move. Added air and all was well. One more reason I like them!

Did not like 3" drop on my SRW 1 ton ,added air bags, see how much it drops, if it is what you can live with, no you don't need them. A blanket NO is not the answer.

Did not ever have air bags so I do not know. I installed super springs on our F350 sd drw 8' bed, 2011 and they help when on bad roads, 2012 3625re big sky rides well. and ride is ok when not loaded.

You may not need them for the weight carrying ability but I feel they work to same way as an air pin. On a rough road they help to smooth out the front trailer bounce. Can't go wrong with them.
