Actually, we just got back from 1/2-ton pickup shopping.
Our Trailblazer is basically the same as the Envoy and I feel the same as it handles ok but a little sluggish and will not win any race getting there.
We are window shopping. We looked at Expedition and I like it a lot but the thing is that my wife is 5'3" and raising the seat all the way up she still was just barely looking over the steering wheel.
I've done so much with so little for so long, I'm now qualified to do anything with nothing.

We had a Trailblazer towing an '03 Jayco Kiwi 21c. 4500# GVW. Didn't like the experience and traded in on a used Ford Expedition 5.4 engine. No problems. My wife is on 5'2" and with the adjustable pedals and electric driver seat, has no problem seeing to drive it as her every day vehicle. In fact, she hates when I take it to go hunting or fishing and leave her the Taurus.

we have a 99 prowler hybrid tt and a 2004 durango with the 4.7 ,power is fine{except on long hills} only problem we have is with temp.it runs hotter than im comfortable with

Although I never have had any issues with running hot with the 5.2 liter I have heard before by more than one person that the 4.7 was not as good at towing which might explain it running hot. I also flush the radiator once every two years.

I haven't had any issues with my 4.7 running hot in the Cherokee. Do you have the factory class V towing package.

Just towed our Jayco X20E with our 2004 Honda Pilot last weekend for the first time, and I can say that towing the camper here in Northwest PA was a total non-event. Everything went perfectly. Gas mileage does stink granted. However, I barely felt the wind resistance and my rpm's never reached 3500 even on grades. I couldnt have been happier with the Pilot's performance. Honestly I feel that this was a smoother tow than my old popup. I use a reese wdh with sway control and primus brake controller. Cant wait to get her out again!!! Just my .02.

We have been towing our Shamrock 19 with a 1996 Jeep Cherokee(4.0) with a weight distribution hitch for 5 years. While I would not recommend this, we had no problems other than holding up traffic on Friday night on Rt 495 near Boston. However a rust problem on the frame of the Jeep forced us to reconsider this combination and rather than upgrading our tow vehicle we will be picking a 2006 Gulfstream class C this weekend.
