Gee whiz, I was gonna pick one up for a spare in case my HR breaks down but I wouldn't want a coach from a devious company..........

wny pat had the same thought as me "How Do You Know" it is the Swiss Alps. We do have snow capped mountains in this country. As I write this its probably about 85-90 in Las Vegas, and Mt. Charleston, about a 1/2 hr.drive away, at 12,000 ft. plus, has snow capped peaks still. I know that because I can sit on my moms patio with beverage in hand and stare at it.

Marketing and upper management rarely understand the product. That's why they make the big bucks. When I worked in a recording studio, I used to laugh at the adds that would show a microphone pointing in an unusable direction. It happened a lot more than one would expect. They didn't understand that large diaphragm studio mics pickup out the side. It was especially embarrassing, as you are advertising a technical product to a technical audience. Every one should know better, but marketing had no clue.

Of course then again, maybe they are trying to appeal to the person who buys an expensive coach, and then complains about the fuel prices. They are portraying frugality. You are just not sophisticated enough to understand.

It's funny that you mentioned the ad in that issue because there is one major goof in an article in the magazine. The article on Niagara Falls refers to the Niagara River flowing South from Lake Ontario to Lake Erie. Interesting that the River can jump up over the Falls. For those of you who aren't familiar the Niagara River flows North and drains Lake Erie and the rest of the Great Lakes into Lake Ontario.

As to the Newell, I'd still consider it but I'm about $2 million short of the $1.5 million price tag!

Who cares? It's an ad. Obviously they do fairly well in spite of a marketing goof. I would imagine if one had the kind of time to sit and examine magazine ads you could find a lot. More important things to do.

Just noticed the back cover of the May issue of FMCA magazine. Newell always buys the back cover space. This month they show their coach driving down a beautiful country road in what appears to be the Swiss Alps. Only problen is they were too cheap to actually take a coach there for the photo shoot. Obvious photo shop picture.
Newell, Cheesy.

It appears to me, if you look close there is an American SUV beyond the drivers mirror in the background, so I doubt this is the Swiss Alps. I am sure there are plenty of scenes in the U.S. that this background could be found. Just because you have never been there does not mean it does not exist in the U.S.

Because you cannot see the seams from the slides and the door is because of the angle of the shot and the camera lens used. Photo of the MH was shot with a blue/green background and then inserted with the background, just like they do making movies.

IMO Newell makes one of the highest quality Motor Coach's available. If I hit the Powerball Jackpot, I might consider buying one, LOL.

Yes, I noticed that also. The author even doubled his facts to confirm the direction. Kind of makes you wonder how factual the rest of the article is.
