Those are good suggestions. Handbasket: the generator has 128 hrs (has had 2 oil changes, one at 20 hrs, and another at 100 hrs). I exercise it on a weekly basis for about 30 to 40 mins.
Wil check the idle control an see. What is a "kill-a-watt"?

If that is the issue, the house batteries need to be charged and tested.
It's a little too soon to expect it, but if all else fails, check the spark arrest screen inside the muffler. Drop the tailpipe(a couple of 10mm-nutted muffler clamps, IIRC). Then shine a bright light into the hole and check the screen.

Along with everything else, check the generator's oil level. This generator is designed to shut down if the oil drops below a certain level - and it only holds about one quart.
