I know this is not the time to some of you for this question. I always do nothing but blow my lines out and pour antifreeze down the traps and a bulb in the wet bay. This past winter I deceided I would put the antifreeze in the lines, I could not get the pump to pull the antifreeze out of the jug, now before I did this I blowed out the lines, could me blowing out the lines put air in the line and prevented the pump from pulling the antifreeze out of the jug. Now I know the procdure to do this by pass water heater and all. Thanks Roy

Your pump should have self primed. Were you on the suction side of pump?

Air in the lines should not affect the pump pulling the antifreeze from the jug. Has the pump worked pulling the water from the tank?

You do it just like I do and the pump has always sucked up the pink stuff. This year I put the jug on a bucket turned upside down and it did pull it in a whole lot faster than last year because it was above the pump.
