A popular American entertainer has passed. I enjoyed his work in the Andy Griffith show.

Whenever anyone from The Andy Griffith Show passes away, the whole family here takes notice. We absolutely love that show. Not too many of them left.
He'll be missed.

My favorite all time show. And this is probably my favorite all time scene with Goober:

Considering that the show started in 1960, its amazing that any of the cast members are still alive, but Andy, Gomer and Opie are still kicking. Opie's nearly 60 and he was a little kid when the show started.
Retired and visiting as much of this beautiful country as I can.

DW and I ran into Goober some years ago in a Nashville Waffle House.
He was a regular at this place.

I realize I'm older when I recognise people's names from watching shows when I was young. None of todays' gimmicks; just real good actors. Mayberry, Lassie, Beverly Hillbillys, and the 1960's, 1970's shows bring back many great memories. RIP George Lindsey.
