Samsung Galaxy Nexus... (the pure google experience...lol)

Why get something that isn't optimized specifically (by google) for ICS?

Quad core android phones are a waste until the next OS (jellybean), ICS was not built for quad core, and will not utilize the quad cores' potential.

I got a Motoroloa Droid Razr Max about one month ago. It is my first smart phone and I love it. There is a steep learning curve (for me) and I ain't there yet but I'm progressing. Battery life seems okay but then I am retired and can plug it in thru the day. I have used it for 6-8 hrs without a charge but I don't stream videos. No, no, not me; I'm hooked on Drawsome, Words with Friends and the hangman app.

I second the Galaxy Nexus. It's a 4G/LTE phone that gets the Android updates before any other phone and is as open as they come.

Google is reporting to be about to release their own phone in June-July timeframe and I personally am waiting for it to make any changes. I like the apps for the iPhone but I like my freedom more and will only go with Android devices.

Are you thinking tablet? They already have their own phone in the Nexus, at least as close as it gets until their deal with Motorola closes.

I have had my Droid Razr since Dec and no problems. My main concern was the batt and it has not been an issue. They are much cheaper now!

I chose the Galaxy Nexus over the Razr, but only because the battery was replaceable in the Nexus and not in the Razr. I always carry a spare battery. The Nexus has been a great phone to replace the Droid X.
