Can someone refer me to a good RV repair person or place in an around Chicago? My class B motorhome needs a generator installed on it. I have a good working Onan 2800 Generator and I have a slot for the generator on my B190 airstream. I need someone to mount the generator on my van and do all the wiring required. Since the generator slot is near the gas and the propane tank, I don't want to do this as a DYI. Thank you for your inputs.

Rick's in Joliet is on Trailer Life's list of top RV service shops. You are actually fairly close to Elkhart, IN the home of half of the RV manufacturers in the country.

We have had good service from Ehrhardt's in Des Plaines. Talk to Tim or David. They are a straight up honest dealer.

Right off of I-55 and RT 53 is a big CW service center. I think that is boolingbrook. Have never used them but driven by many times.

Have to hook up fuel line too. How about Airstream factory repair facility? Mine b-190s genny is on drivers side.

Before you head to a Camping World in Chicago, you may want to confirm the location. One we used to drive by off Interstate 55 is closed. Camping World of Chicago appears to be north and west of Chicago near Wauconda and Island Lake, IL.
Airstream of Chicago used to be off Interstate 55 south of Chicago. It is now located off Interstate 80 and New Lenox Road near Joliet. We don't have any experience with them other than stopping by to see the facility when we were in Chicago. They had just relocated. They had a good sized clean service facility. At that time, they sold and serviced more than Airstream trailers.

Try Service RV in Gary, IN. Location is on the east side of Gary --6801 Melton Road (US 20). Phone number is (219) 841-5551 and ask for Phil. We've used them for plumbing issues but have friends who have taken various sized units there for various repairs.
