Hi all I bought a used 2003 forest river Cherokee lite 28ft bunkhouse that is in very nice shape. I have went thru just about everything. I have a question. Is there suppose to be a screen type filter where the hose connects to the units water source. Thanks. Joe

Easy to fix, any hardware store will have hose washers with the screen in them. Clothes washers use them.

One other question I have the water pur filter system under the sink. Is it a waste to also get the one from Walmart that you connect outside the rv. I have pres reg but was just curious if I would be wasting money

i would filter the city water connection, if just to get rid of any solids that can mess with your valves. thats what we do, and we bring bottles of RO water from home for drinking and cooking.

Definitely use, and check, the screen washers. I noticed a big drop in water pressure the last month or so. Thought it was the whole house filter outside and replaced. Seemed to get better for awhile then dropped again, way too quick. Water coming from nearby water bibs was OK. Disconnected my water hose and removed the 90 deg elbow just ahead of the screen washer. Found a ton of stuff, looked like calcium gravel? Blew it all out of that elbow and made a world of difference inside. Really not sure how all that stuff made it past the big filter.
