What size cab? I've got the crew with the 4.10. I'm curious what a crew with the 3.73 gets mpg.

It is the work truck variety, no power windows or locks. ^6.0 engine, 6 speed tranny, Getting the bed liner, mud flaps, brake controller, and 4 piece bed cover on wednesday. Taking the 1st trip in 9 days. I will post a pick of both if I can figure out how. Tow capacity with the 3.73 rearend is 9700lbs. Break controller Didn't it come with one build in

Probably because it's a work truck model with the base options.
Op. congrats on the new truck.
I did something similar. I went from a 97 XLT F-150 to a 99 XL F-350 dually. My dually doesn't have power locks or power windows or even cloth seats. What it does have is a good heater/ac, a v10, automatic, aftermarket CD player and about 3-4k of payload. I can't wait to tow my trailer!!

Nice choice and nice truck. I was planning on going with the base model in my new Ram but my wife decided she wanted to trade in her Avalanche on it with the condition that the Ram was decked out so we went with the Laramie. The more I am in that truck the more I shake my head at all of the gimicky garbage that is in it, oh well I guess that will help with re-sale down the road and she is happy with it. I am just one that appreciate's the capability of the truck over the myriad of junk that can add to expenses.

It's the crew cab. What kind of mileage are you guys getting with the 3.73 and the 4.10?

I've averaged 11.5 with regular and 12.5 with premium so far with my 4.10.
I need to switch back to regular for a couple tanks to see if it is still at 11.5. I'm at around 4000 miles and I keep reading folks talk about mpg increasing over time as the engine breaks in.
Yes the book says no towing for 500 miles.

I'm guessing it doesn't have the HD trailering package. I have the WT with HD trailering package and 5th wheel wiring provision just in case I end up with one and I have the integrated brake controller. I do have power windows, door locks, and mirrors.... I do have to keep the wife happy. I'm loving the vinyl seats and floors as I'm a coffee addict and with a big bouncy truck I tend to spill it ;>)
