when using the refer on propane does it use any battery power? and if it does is the power usage that much or if your house batteries are not that good should it sustain the refer for overnight?
have 2 6V batts for house batteries and so far they do start the engine since my engine battery is shot.

Batteries run the circuit board and interior light on the refrig. Should not be that much of a draw. If it's that questionable, turn the refrig. off at midnight and start it back up in the morning. If it's cool outside and you are not opening it, it should maintain a safe temp. overnight.

I agree with the above poster: The refer uses very little battery power to run on propane - but there might be fans or heaters that take more than a very basic refer.

The refer is run on the house batteries. But if you keep starting your engine from the house batteries it takes a lot of power from the house batteries. I'd spend the extra for the engine battery.

the house batteries are deep charge, they are not designed for a full start load. you will be buying all new batteries if you keep stressing the house batteries.
get the engine batteries replaced...
and the fridge uses very little power to run the circuit board and light.
less if you don't check the light very often...

The Gas valve also uses 12 V to open when the fridge board calls.

As does the igniter and the very small amount for the PC board.

Running on a dead chassis battery is not good for the alternator.
