There are a number of nice aftermarket devices to help RV'ers keep safe by monitoring thier equipment. I would like to add some of these but the question arises .....where in the heck do you mount all the different readout screens....I mean if you have a scan guage and then a tpms system and then a rear view camera how do you mount all these monitors so that you can view them effectively. I am serious here.....has anyone run into this problem and if so what was your solution.

My rearview camera screen plugs into my cig lighter. My scangauge I have mounted by velcro on a spot under the dash next to the brake controller.

My scan gauge and tpms are on the dash just under the other gauges. The back up monitor was pre mounted at the factory and hangs under the over head. The portable gps sets on top of the dash all gauges with in eye sight and reach of the driver.

And your not even done yet. Our dash has: netbook monitoring engine, dash cam, 7" GPS, 7" rear view camera monitor, 4" side view camera monitor, TPMS and a combo date/time/in-out temp and chassis battery voltage monitor. We never can have to much information.

Some of the more expensive monitors have 3 or more imputs so you can use one monitor and switch between what you want to view, just as you do on your TV at home when switching between inputs.

Even my cheap little 4" monitor has 2 inputs which I plan to wire to a backup camera on the back of the truck for hithcing and one on the back of the trailer for watching traffic when going down the road so I can tell when I am clear to change lanes when needed.

the scangauge was mounted under the left side of the instrument panel. it was replaced by an obdII bluetooth box that sends its info to my 8" tablet, which is mounted just above the stereo, and visually just below the wipers. the tablet also is my gps. the rearview monitor and tpms are suction cupped to the windshield above the rear view mirror. so basically, everything is now to my right in one vertical line, with no blockage of the road view.

Great info from everyone thanks so much. It's great to hear the different methods. Cincygus, am I picking up that I can purchase a monitor that that only monitors and to which devices like the scan guage, the TPMS and other guages can be connected? Do most of those provide connections to port the data to the monitor?

My ScanGaugeII and TPMS monitor are small and mount out of the way. Rear view monitor is in the driver side sun visor.

Sun visor mount is not always the best. But does work well when backing up.

Mounted my ScanGage on the dash (drivers side) with velcro. Ran the cable down behind the seal on the truck door opening to the underside of the dash, zip tied the excess.

Scangauge - sits in my center console cupholder. No permanent mount because I occasionally use it on other vehicles.

TPMS - My dash has a flat tray molded into the top of it. TPMS has a little pedestal. I sit it right there and it stays put.

Back Up Camera - housed in rear view mirror

Garage Door Opener - Truck has overhead console with 2 pop open doors. It goes in one.

Wireless Airbag Controller - Goes in other overhead console door.

Ipod - Have a small tray below ashtray in dash, fits perfectly and is plugged into Sync.
