we have it narrowed down our choice to either a jayco jay feather or a keystone outback. As this will be our first rv we have been doing our homework and taking our time,we have it narrowed down to these 2 because of floor plans and a king bed option although the keystone has a slight edge any comments about these 2 choices would be appreicated am not asking for comments regarding jayco verses keystone just pros or cons about the models chosen and can we tow witha half ton p u thanks.

I have a Jayco Feather Select. Read too many bad reviews about Keystone but you can read bad about both (good also). 2 year warranty for Jayco. Which ever you like cause the bottom line is you either get a good unit or a bad unit (my thinking). Some call it a******shoot cause all can have similar problems.

i'm getting older and have decided that the thing i look for most is "how easy is it?" filling, dumping, awning, cabinets...i just want to be able to reach everything without a ladder or a knee-pad

p.s. - my dad has owned a jayco for 15 yrs or so

Former TT was a Keystone Laredo. After the initial shakedown it was trouble free. Jayco's (at the time was my 2nd choice), 2 yr warranty almost made me a buyer, but Keystone won me over...........no regrets! Can't go wrong either way.

You didn't say which model, but we love our Outback 230RS toyhauler. Only about 8500 miles so far, but looking good.

I've heard lots of good comments from Outback owners, but have never owned one.

Picking up my 3rd Jayco this Friday (32TSBH) so that tells you how I feel about them.

I don't think you can go wrong either way, just go with the one that "feels" right....

Have had my Outback for over a year now with zero issues. Friends with Jaycos rave about them too. If every thing else is equal, I'd go with the longer warranty. But otherwise pick the best floorplan or go for the better price.

If you have links to the two floor plans that would be helpful also.

I love my 2008 Jay feather. The only problem I have experienced is that the tail light bulbs have to be replaced often. Water leaks in and once got into the trailer. I calked them and I'm hoping this will end the problem. The clip on covers just don't seal tight enough.
