I have 2011 Aerolight TT. I am brand new, 2wks to the RVing. The toilet appeared to be clogged with tp, and nothing was going on but more water when flushing. I cleaned out the water, the tp, and snaked the toilet. I figured there is something stuck between the holding tank and the toilet. How can I get in there to get whatever is out. Thinking something might have fallen in off the shelves in the bathroom. Need help....

Have you emptied your black tank? Maybe it is full

Your drain pipe from your toilet goes straight down about 8-10 inches. It doesn't have your typical "p" trap like other toilets. I have a good idea of what is going on and just waiting for him to chime in to see what he says about draining the black tank.

Aside from the obvious (making sure tank is empty), I'd say you are out of luck unless you drop the tank and retrieve whatever is in there.

If your snake went through, then water would go through too. Have you dumped the tank? Does your trailer have two toilets? If it does, it probably has two black tanks too and each has to be dumped.

There is normally very little pipe between toilet and tank, and in fact on most units you can see most of it.

Or maybe the black tank dump valve has been left open this whole time?

In MOST cases, anything small enough to travel through your toilet is also small enough to come OUT the dump valve. Only way to know for sure is to head for the dump station and be sure you have installed a clear connection on the dump valve so you will KNOW if it does come out. After dumping the tank, if the foreign object does not flush out then you may find it possible to reach up through the dump valve opening (with the tank empty) and feel for whatever is in there. Not a pleasant job but not an impossible one.

As I have told many. Reach your arm down the hole and feel around. If you feel anything solid squeeze it up between your fingers and wash the mess down into the holding tank. Please wash your hands thoroughly after this procedure as it can be hazardous to your heath.

Are you keeping your dump valve closed when you are in a campground? Or are you hooking up the sewer hose and then opening the valve and leaving it open. If you do that, the liquids will drain and all of the solids will build up because there is no pressure head of water to flush them out. Eventually, they will fill your tank... your snake will go through the mess, but liquids will not.

You need to keep the valve closed until the tank is 2/3 or so full then dump it.

Get yourself a wand meant for cleaning tanks. you hook it up to a hose and put it down thru the toilet. If you have a buildup, this will flush it out.

Good Luck
