Well, not always. I had the same problem a couple of times last trip out. I snaked the pipe and after removing said snake, the toilet paper immediately resealed the hole the snake went through. Only solution was to push something bigger down the hole, not a nice job. My problem, and a similar one on an older Class A, is the pipe takes a 45 degree turn about 12" below the straight pipe from the toilet, and things just started to accumulate there. Best solution is to use a lot of flush water. But, that's not good if you're dry camping.

3 sons? How long are there are arms? Round robin, flip a coin--loser takes an arm dive.
while moving our black tank, both location of tank and the holes in the tank, I did my best to clean it FIRST
There was some real "build up" of materials about 1/2" thick all across the bottom, yuck.
After pressure washing, and a few showers, is still had stuffs.
Took an orbital sander and a chunk of scrap wood, wood was held to bottom of tank, then started sanding.
It vibrated the stuff out of the tank, pretty quickly.
Might be worth a shot if other suggestions don't work.

You're right of course. I was thinking of the pipe between toilet and tank, which the OP was asking about with regard to something falling in the toilet. But yes, the mud pyramid will reseal around a snake.
THANKS TO ALL.. It worked. I put the hose down and forced the whatever through. However, the lid that opens and closes the hole in the toilet popped off and is floating around in the toilet. I can't get it out because it's too big. But I can grab it from there, I just have to figure out now how it re-attches!

Oops, now it sounds like you're going to have to remove the toilet to fix the flush valve. I might be wrong.
It is VERY easy to pull the toilet. No wax seal like at home. I had to do it one time at 12:30 in the morning when a water leak developed and I couldn't access the fittings at the back of the toilet. Good times.

In the future the type of bathroom tissue that is designed for campers will help to keep the original problem from happening. It dissolves quickly and doesn't just lay in the tank in a big mound.
Now I do agree that you need to remove the toilet to fix it. Start a new thread and I'm sure the very helpful people on this site will walk you through the procedure.

Pretty ambitious of you. I'm positive that I would turn the water off, and deal with it after breakfast.
