1. The toilet is one of the main features of these campers. And it takes some management but is workable. 0200 on a stormy night the bathroom will get use! Plenty of data here on how easy it is. Basic rule is don't put anything blue in the tank (unless you want it to stink). Odorlos(tm) and an enzyme manage ours nearly effortlessly. Only need to dump when nearly full. Barker 4-wheel 16 gallon tote is what I've been using for years. 32 gallon would be better in many respects but is a PITA to carry around, even in a pickup.

2. Small electric heaters only put out a small amount of heat. A 1500 watt heater and 1500 watt hair dryer put out the same amount of heat. We use a 1500 watt heater to supplement the LP furnace when it gets cold. Note the entire electrical system on these trailers only handles about 3,600 watts so a heater will suck up nearly half your capacity. Water heater uses nearly all the rest if run on electricity. Reheat your coffee in the microwave with these two running and everything shuts down!

I added some interior photos to the original post. Sorry for the inside lighting in the pictures. It was very bright outside. Thanks again for your advice. I have found that every time we set up the camper or bring our new purchases to store in it, a new list of things we need arises.

Happy camping,

Tim

Great looking camper! Congrats.

X2 with using the toilette. If ya paid for it, might as well use it.

We have a little electric space heater as well. I like it as its a lot quieter than the gas furnace (im a light sleeper).

Hope you have an enjoyable camping season.

I use the furnace for the most part. I have a small electric heater I sometimes put into the bathroom at night because it stays cold in the bathroom. But I do not think the gas furnace uses that mutch gas. We camp alot in early spring and late fall when nights are cold and I can run the furnace, run the fridge on gas while in travel and use the gas stove to cook eggs and still only have to fill my gass bottles every third camping trip.

I have an x23b. Hybrids have some unique issues with climate control. Because the tent ends are uninsulated, they can get very cold compared to the rest of the camper. Condensation results, and you may wake up to "rain" falling on your face. The furnace alone isn't enough. At the very least, you'll need to use the 12v bunk fans to improve the air flow.

We use two 750w heaters when connected to shore power. They're hung in each bunk. As another posted, 750w isn't a lot, but when it's aimed into your bunk it's plenty to keep you warm and the tent ends dry. We set the furnace about 5 degrees lower to support the electric heaters.

We bought ours for $12 each. They have thermostats, so the cycle when needed. Plus, we can use them as fans on the hot days.
