While there is nothing inherently wrong with a Fleetwood product they
are just not the same quality as the Winnebago. I have researched for months and have looked at many dozen units and am about to pull the trigger on a Winnebago Vista 35F. If you spend much time looking you can go into 2 coaches without knowing the name instantly tell who built them. The final deciding factor for me was when a trusted salesman that handles Fleetwood, Georgetown, and Winnebago/Itasca offered me a piece of advise. He said that even if I did not buy from him that it should be a Winnebago. Yes they cost a bit more but sometimes you do get what you pay for.

If you are ready to buy now, I would go to the Itasca dealer and tell them to match the Bounder Price and you will buy right then. They may accept or I'm sure they will negotiate if your are willing to buy right then and there. However be sure to have the maximum amount you are willing to pay established so you can be decisive and get up and leave if they don't want to sell. I'm sure they are not selling new RVs every day and should think twice before the let a buying customer walk out the door. Good Luck in what ever you decide to do as the previous posts have said either RV will provide good service.

I would first compare the manufacturing process between the two - building materials and fit, especially drawers, and the engine. Then to the whole floorplan and storage bay usage. Naturally, every one is different on needing the extras - we've full-timed for 16 years without a washer/dryer or satellite t.v. and still would not have either - but that's us. How much will you be using the motorhome, for how long of stays, and do you typically stay in RV parks that are "open" - meaning almost treeless or do you like trees or even dry camping in national parks, forests? All of these might give you a different outlook on a W/D (hookups) and satellite (trees). Personally, we like to get 10 days of laundry done in one shot and not have to think about it and we have no problem finding "clean" laundramats as other seem to complain about. Good luck in your choice!!!

I could be wrong but I think that Fleetwood uses a rubber roof and Itasca a solid roof. If so, I would go with the Itasca just for that option. I have had both types over the years and a solid roof wins everytime. Just think, with a solid roof, no streaks on your windows and down the side of your RV. You would also save $$$ on the maintenance of the roof. IF you have a branch rub the top of a rubber roof MH, time for a repair. Generally a solid roof will just dent a little. Just my 2c.

Well I just stopped into a bank of America, loan authorization I did 30 says ago is still good. Just need the dealer to bend a bit more get me close to the Bounder price and it's a done deal. Any reason I should not consider an out of state dealer...ie Camping World ? P.S. I'm on vacation 10 hours from home....

I would make a firm offer with your local dealer of choice and be ready to walk away. They can't be fighting off customers these days. Figure your final price you comfortable with and go a little lower than that. All they can say is no and you go elsewhere. Just make them very aware you are financially approved and ready to sign right now. Not yet another dreamer who might be able to complete.
