We're headed out west this weekend, during our travels we'll be near Hoover Dam. We were last there in 1990, we took a spin out of Vegas in a rental car to see the dam and Lake Mead. Since there is a new highway by-passing the dam, is there any parking available to park my rig & toad that would be close to sight see?
Yes sir...there is a really nice COE just north of the dam close to Bolder City, Nv. There is also a RV Park right next to it. We have stayed at the COE park several times. No hookups but a dump station and fresh water there.

For a few hours parking, I understand that there is still the "visitor" parking lot on the east side of the Dam that will take a RV. The parking garage on the West side may not take an RV
Please give me enough troubles, uncertainty, problems, obstacles and STRESS so that I do not become arrogant, proud, and smug in my own abilities, and enough blessings and good times that I realize that someone else is in charge of my life.
As KCharles said, there is parking but there will be walking involved. There are no pull-offs along the new road and bridge. You take the road to the visitors center (things are well marked) which is also the old road across the dam. There are some lots past the dam on the east side. That original road now ends in a cul-d-sac past the parking areas. There is also a parking area that really won't take larger RVs before you get to the old dam crossing. There is an excellent trail that takes you up to the new bridge and you may walk along the bridge. Great scenery, take your camera! Also plaques with good info on them. If you have time and are an Elks Lodge member the Boulder City lodge has a nice RV park so you could eliminate the parking situation at the dam. That is where we are sitting now.
There is the new bridge, and that has a parking lot on the west end and a walkway so pedestrians can look down on the lake/dam/river from the bridge. It is accessed from the old road to the dam. As I recall, it is well signed. Be real ready to walk.
If you choose to take a passcar over the dam, no problem.
If you want to take your coach over the dam, will be stopped and inspected. (We didn't so I can't tell you much more.)
There is a free and open parking lot on the east side of the dam. There is a real good view of the dam and pretty good view of the bridge from there.
