OK, 2002 HR Presidential 36SKT, just upgraded to "G" rated tires, it has the OEM wheels which are 6 lug steel wheels, and Had the Original "E" rated tires on it when I bought it two months ago, the tread was real good, had some side wall cracking, I was hesitent about even taking it to the tire dealer to get tires put on, but it made it.
I just don't want to take a chance with those OEM 6lug wheels with 110Psi, they were Ok with 90Psi, but I didn't like it, so here is the problem, Spacers? 6 - 8lug?, or try to find drums that will fit with the same bearing size?, any Techs out there delt with this before or done this before?.
This trailer has the optional 7,000lb axles. I have looked and looked for 6lug rims that will go up to 110Psi, I can't find any.
Lots of this don't make sense to me. Your tire dealer sold you G614 tires not knowing your wheel rating? Second thing is a 7k axle with six lugs? There is a reason you can't find 110 PSI wheels in a six lug pattern.
How much weight is on your axles? Many G614 owners don't run full pressure if it's not needed.
At any rate if your current wheels aren't rated to 110 PSI, don't put that much in as they will seperate. Usually stamped on the back side.
I guess that you already bought the new 16" tires?
You might try Rickson truck, they make a few rims to upgrade from 16" to either 17.5 or 19.5" truck tires, that fit various rims that are on pickups and vans. Yet I can not think of any that have 6 lugs either. There is not enough space to make a 8 lug adapter while still has the 6 lugs in place.
Perhaps another source is ETrailer.com they sell both axles and upgrades to disk brakes - another upgrade worth looking into.
Just air the tires to 80 pounds which is 3042 pounds on the inflation chart for that size tire. Question is are you approaching 12168 pounds on your axles?

............A 6 lug hub is normally a 5,200 lb. axle , 8 lug hubs with 6.5" spacing on 8 lugs can be 6,000 , 7,000 or 8,000 lb. axles ! I'd call the mfger and findout what brand of axles came on your trailer ! , jf

X2 - something is not right and I think it is your axles are not 7K.
I got sold some G tires on the road after shredding my 4 factory tires on our 2003 with 6 lug. I never found any wheels that would take the 110psi. There just ain't no such thing. I had to settle for 80 psi

I am just changing from 6 lug 15 inch to 8 lug 16 inch rims. The only way is to change the brake drums, about $160.00 each, rims and good tires will add another $1500.00. Will also replace shoes and magnets again as have 40,000 on this set. That beats the heck our of replacing a tire or two on every trip we take. I'll have $3,000.00 in it and a better than new rig, I hope!! PM me if you need any other information I can give you.
I agree that something doesn't sound right here. 6 lug wheels, IIRC only go up to about 3100 pounds. So they only cover up to 6K axles. Some 6K axles come with 8 lugs as an option. Once you get to 7K axles, it is strictly 8 lugs.
The OP may need to get new drums and new wheels both.
