I've never heard anything like this happening anywhere! Please expand on your post about what the "techs robbed blind" on your unit.
The fridge, water heater and 2 furnaces were stripped for parts, including ALL circuit boards. The stove was missing parts and the AC was missing a circuit board. One window was removed and the opening covered by plastic. All told, the cost to get it back to the condition it was when moved there by the manufacturer, was in excess of $3000. They tried to claim that was the way it was received, but pictures and their own "inspection" sheet said otherwise. The unit was less than 4 months old when the manufacturer picked it up at the selling dealer and moved it to them. I will NEVER take a unit to them for repairs, unless I am standing right there watching the techs work on it.

Texan, was this before you purchased the coach or afterward? I spent quite a bit of time at LazyDays Tampa while they tried to track down and repair some problems with our coach, and even longer while they got Monaco to deliver the proper parts to fix the air braking and leveling system, and I never saw or heard of them taking anything off of a customer's RV. It's amayzing that people either love or hate LazyDays, there's nobody that is ambivalent about the place.

That was on the 5th wheel we had, before the coach. I actually forgot a couple of things, but you got the gist of what I was referring to.

I have spent many days there having work done under and out of warranty and have NEVER heard a hint of what you SAY happened to any rig whatsoever.

Are you sure the rig was delivered with all the parts? It doesn't make sense that such a professional company would do such. Knowing quite a few of the upper and lower management something just doesn't float here.

Well, I bought my motorhome from Holland Motorhomes in Michigan....Had it in for service 2 times since new and I couldn't be happier with Scott, the service manager. Did it take a bit longer than I expected..yes but I made sure when I dropped it off that I wanted the fixes done right, not fast!!! I've owned 5 motorhomes and more important than the sales experience is the service experience. This dealer really treats customers well and if you talk to anyone who has purchased a motorhome from them they will tell you the same thing....Great group of folks, honest and they truly CARE about the customer.

The Old Lazy Days came to our assistance once when we were at a Rally there.
It was minor but still they would not take anything for the fix.

Since that time we have looked at trading. We spent the better part of half a day and decided on a unit and waiting on someone to sell it to us.
After sitting there for way too long we simply got up and left.
We keep getting offers to trade with them including a substantial Veteran discount of Fleetwoods. I assume they mean American.
But we didn't jump after reading not just this tread but several others elsewhere.
Bad idea to buy a thriving, even if in short term economic drop and then use the Wall Street method of cutting service and raising prices. One thing that must come with an RV is a source of dependable, economical, reliable service. Without that chances are Customers won't become advocates for your business or repeat business.

Exactly! There is obviously more to the story that The Texan isn't telling us. This story doesn't float with me either!

I really don't care if it floats with you or not. It was our RV, we had to deal with them and luckily, the manufacturer had the documentation to back up our problem. Lazy Days paid through the nose and there were more than a few customers at the time that knew of it. A very good friend, who was a Lazy Days salesman, knew of it and was a big help to us also. the only "more to the story" is at the time it cost them many customers and to this day I well imagine it is still costing them sales, from those that were there at the time and were aware of the problem. End of comment from me on this problem.

I don't understand why he is so defensive. Oh well.

I have bought 2 new units there, Lazy Days Tampa, a 2011 and 2012 and never had a issue. All problems fixed promptly while I waited and done correctly the first time. Had almost 100 write ups on a new Phaeton and all was repaired correctly 1st time.
