I bought a Genturi set up a while back and I am just now getting around the getting it set up. I am going to assume that most of you that use Genturi or any similar set-up are not riveting the strap mounts into the side of your RV. I have no interest in doing so.
So how did you secure it? Suction cups on the window somehow? Find something on the roof to secure it to? Any ideas? If you have any pics, I would love to see them.
Thanks in advance!
I use a set of these, more trouble than they are worth. Use the mounting pieces that came with the Genturi Look here
X2. Its a long story, so we won't go there. But we have several of these that we got for free. For us anyways, they work great. We use two of them on the side of our Motorhomes Fiberglass. We haven't had any issues wiht them falling off.
Of coarse, we don't leave them on while traveling. We mostly do Boondocking, and yes we also use our Genturi System. Its the best way to keep the exhaust fumes up and away from the windows and roof vents. It also helps to keep the exhaust noise at a Min. Which makes ars stays more enjoyable.
Our Suction Cups, are not a problem for sticking. Myabe becasue we have used RMP #3 on our Motorhome, so it has a nice finish to stick to.
Because I am 6'3", I don't need a ladder to mount the Suction Cups, as I can reach high enough to make ours work good.
We aslo have a set of the Larger Suction Cups, wiht the Flip Levers to make the Suction Cups stick better, but we don't need them.
I'm not sure why everyone is so afraid of riveting those little one inch square anchors to the side of their rig. You can't even see them from ten feet away.
They sure as hell look better than over sized suction cups, raised floor pullers, window/glass carriers and bungee cords.
The nicest thing about permanently mounting the anchors is that they are always where you left them. When you need to deploy the Centuri they are right there in the correct place.
There are just sooo many more serious things to worry about.....
Just to clarify, I wasn't losing sleep over this. I was just looking for creative ideas as opposed to drilling and riveting things into the side of the RV. Maybe you don't care about doing it, but I do.
JMANATEE - Super clean bracket you came up with, there!
Thanks to everyone and the great ideas!

Many use dual suction devices but I have read where the heavy duty types can leave marks. When I tried it with fairly cheap, handle operated suction clamps they would pop off after a couple hours of use. Annoying.
Hopefully, someone has a better idea.
Tried the suction cups - they are worthless as far as I'm concerned. I used the mounting units with double sided 3M tape (this stuff is amazing) and attached them just above the window frame of the drivers window. Works great.
