I have a 2012 Jeep Wrangler which will hopefully be entering "Dinghy" status soon. The tow bar mounts are installed and all of the wiring for lights brakes ect. have been run to the front of the vehicle. Unfortunately I am struggling with where to mount the connector on the front of the jeep to plug into from the motor home. The bumper is partially covered with the air deflector. Even if the air deflector was out of the way, the connector would have to be mounted pretty far back under the bumper to achieve an adequate mounting surface. Any Jeep owners a good mounting solution? Anything better than the standard 5 pin connector that came with the tow bar? Thanks.

I was looking for some product information on tow bar deflectors and came across your post. You've probably already dealt with this, but does the MH have a 5 pin connector on the back or the more standard 7 pin? The other two pins support trailer brakes, but I used them to wire in a US Gear auxiliary braking system. I use a standard 7 pin coiled wiring cable that stretches and retracts. If you don't have an auxiliary braking system, you just don't use those two pins on your toad. But it's already there if you decide to add later. Some states require auxiliary braking especially in mountainous areas. The toad connector is just screwed to some metal support in the front engine area down low.
