Considering buying a 2 slide 2003 Class C on a Ford E450 Chassis with the V10 engine. It's about 30 feet long.
What gas mileage could I anticipate getting with the thing, cruising at about 65 MPH, towing a Jeep?

We get between 7.5 and 10 without towing on the 2003 Ford V10 E350. They say you can expect close to the same with the 450 on a longer chassis because they have the same tall blunt profile but not sure how much towing reduces that.

I have a 27 ft. Class C on a 2005 Ford E-450 chassis with the V-10 equipped with a Banks kit. Have towed a Jeep Cherokee with it for over 100K miles. Jeep weighs about 3700 lbs. "Loaded" motorhome weighs about 13.5K. On the interstates I tow at about 65 mph. Mileage has averaged a shade under 8 mpg; in the mountains a bit lower and on the plains a bit higher.
I also know that if I tow at 70 mph the mileage drops. On a recent cross country trip I had to "push hard" to keep our schedule and averaged a little over 7 mpg.
I don't think that the length of the motorhome has much to do with gas mileage but gross weight does. From experience I don't see that the Banks kit improves gas mileage, despite what the manufacturer may claim.

We don't drive all that much on the open interstate but in FL the little of that we do drive is mostly level. Towing my Frontier pickup, 7-8 range. And much closer to 7.

The Gas-Engine Mileage Derby Finishers:
Chevy 6.0L
Ford E350 V10
Ford E450 V10
The E450 is a heavier chassis than the E350, and it sits higher and wider. It also has a 4:56 axle instead of the E350's 4.10 so the engine turns a few more RPM's at any given road speed. Except in a few cases, the E450 is spec'd for heavier RVs, so that also reduces mileage.
As flatly stated above, "8 at best."

So, it looks like I can anticipate about the same as what my Tioga 29H E350/460 is getting.
That's good to know.
Thanks, everybody.

I don't tow with mine. Keep the injectors clean, and the gas fresh. Expect 8 and you Might be pleasantly surprised by 8.5 mpg..... on the hiway, at 60-65 mph.

If you tow at that speed in California, you should also probably factor in the expense of the speeding ticket you'll receive from our nice, friendly Highway Patrol officer(s). 55 is the maximum towing speed in California.

So how much higher mileage do you get at 55 mph?
