You actually read the rules and got choked up over them? I think you have way too much time on your hands. Once you have checked in, you're done. Give it a rest.

Perhaps a secret foray into the campground is called for. Secretly investigate each and every campsite. Document each and every child that is 10 years old or newer. Once you have compiled that list, sit by the campfire with a martini or other helpful beverage and contemplate the wrongs of others. It will make you feel better.

You may decide to report this violation of the 10 years or newer rule. Oh wait, they were talking about children weren't they? Now you may just have to start this investigation all over again. I foresee many nights by the campfire contemplating the results of your investigations....

I suspect if the question of unit age was NOT in the res form you filled out and they didn't toss you when you arrived it's nothing to lose sleep over....IMHO, of course

your first error was reading the rules. seriously, it's not up to you to enforce their rules. chances are that this rule is in place in order to permit them to turn away junkers. don't sweat the small stuff. enjoy the swing, the lake and the time away.

Rules in general have always been selectively enforced. That's life. You didn't slip one past the office. They know.

You read the rules???
I haven't done that in years. I figure if I'm breaking them, they will tell me, and if I'm not breaking them, then it doesn't matter.

I agree with those above, who say that it's really just a backdoor tool for the CG owner, to turn away rigs that aren't well maintained. After all, 10 years is an arbitrary period of time, and I think that most of the RVs within 15 years (yours included) probably look fine.

Enjoy the CG, and enjoy your time in the RV....we're jealous!

They were so impressed with the condition of your MH, they were happy to have you in their campground. Now don't you feel better?

If the CG brochure and website did not mention any vehicle age restriction or ask and deny your reservation at the time, I would say you made the reservation in good faith.

Do private camp grounds have the right to discriminate? Yes, it is their property. Is it wrong, as long as your unit is clean and shows well...yes.

I have seen many CG with this rule and it is not right. RV purchase is expensive and one can not purchase a new unit every 5 years just to stay at a site. Make your voice heard, and if there are CG that discriminate then just don't give them your business. Eventually, they will no longer be around. Oh, and enter a blog with their name such as in "YELP".
